“My partner and I were so lucky to have Rikke support us throughout my pregnancy, the birth of our little boy and postpartum. She is a wealth of knowledge on all things birth and has such a genuine passion for supporting families through the transition into parenthood. I have no doubt that our experience would have been so different without her unwavering support and advocacy. She really went above and beyond to ensure my partner and I felt informed, comfortable and held until we had our boy in our arms, and that we were well fed as we settled into postpartum life. We can’t thank Rikke enough and are so grateful our paths crossed!”

“I was so lucky to have Rikke as my doula throughout my pregnancy, birth and postpartum. She was always there to answer my questions, help me talk through many feelings in the lead up to having my son. Rikke never comes empty handed, always bringing a meal full of love and nourishing warmth. She really goes above and beyond and when I was admitted to hospital at 33 weeks to undergo observation she was by my side as soon as she could be. Her support during mine and my son’s hospital stay and the months that followed were an integral part in our recovery and bonding. Anyone who has Rikke on their pregnancy, birth and postpartum team is very lucky and I feel very blessed to not only have had Rikke’s support but to also call her a friend now.”

“Honestly I am forever grateful for having Rikke in my life. She is my guiding light.
I even had a very hands on and supportive partner but Rikke still played a huge role on my journey and she ensured Justin and I were aligned with our birth wishes and that he knew how to support me physically and mentally through pregnancy, birth, postpartum and parenthood.
We followed Rikke’s advice and guidance, generally in the form of what to read, people to follow, what to practice to physically and mentally prepare for birth and parenthood, etc, which she never forced on us.
Ultimately it was up to us to do the leg work but totally inspired by Rikke and her natural focus of nurture, we did, and we had the magical natural vaginal birth we hoped, prepared and mapped for! And Rikke was there in the room as Lachie entered this world, supporting us through a hard night, to a new day with our baby in our arms.
But even if I hadn’t had the birth I hope for, she made my pregnancy even more beautiful and has been there for me on the otherside to support me through post partum and parenthood. The even harder part! Rikke grounds me when it can sometimes all feel like too much and when social pressures conflict with the natural sense of nurture, which Rikke and I so beautifully align on.
Rikke also introduced me to her network of likeminded professionals when I needed some specialised help and I had/have only wonderful experiences with those people too.
Of course she is so incredible with Lachie, my beautiful baby, and will be a friend for life. Forever grateful every time I look at him but also for our beautiful journey together.”

“Rikke is a golden human who, in my experience was made for being a doula/birth worker. Rikke brings with her a warmth and power that I found so comforting whilst pregnant and even more so navigating the world of postpartum. Rikke knows her stuff through experience being a mother herself via 2 very different birth journeys and through her study with Rhea Dempsey (where we were lucky enough to cross Rikke’s path). If you have the opportunity to meet with her as your potential doula jump at it! A truly supportive and restorative doula who is an unforgettable asset in your journey to parenthood.”

“Rikke was an incredible support to us throughout my partner's pregnancy and post natal journey. It was invaluable to have someone advising and advocating for us outside of the hospital system, and in particular when it came to preparing for labour and birth. Her meals were both nutritious and delicious, aiding our recovery. I highly recommend partnering with Rikke, even if just for a few sessions.”

“There’s a lot going on when you become a parent … no matter how many times you’ve done it before. While I felt comfortable following my own instincts to a degree, there was always a part of me that wondered if I was ‘doing it right’.
The way Rikke listened, really listened, to me was so comforting and supportive. Her words always came from her heart, but spoke a truth to me I didn’t always hear elsewhere. And she didn’t compromise on her values. She has that rare quality of being able to be true to herself while honouring others. She’s absolutely the person to walk with you as you embark on this wild, wild ride into parenthood.”

“I spent a lot of years resenting my instincts; resisting the way I needed to mother because it didn’t conform to the ‘grind-culture’ that surrounded me.
Rikke is a beacon of acceptance and calm confidence. It was her encouragement that really helped me to step into my own and embrace mothering the way my gut had always been telling me to.”
